What we are happy to receive

• Story ideas. A tech chore you keep putting off, a hobby you want to try, a social media question you cannot find a straight answer to.
• Corrections. A menu that moved, a setting that was renamed, a link that broke, or a plain mistake on our part.
• Feedback on an article. What helped, what confused you, what you wish we had covered.
• Privacy requests. Questions about the data described on How We Handle Data.

Help us help you

A little context goes a long way. If you are writing about a specific article, paste its address or title. If a step does not work on your device, mention the make, model and software version if you know them. Screenshots are welcome, but please crop out anything personal such as phone numbers, email addresses or account details first.

What we cannot do

We are writers, not a repair service, so we cannot log in to your accounts, fix a device remotely or recover lost files for you. We also cannot give personal financial or legal advice. For those situations, the official support channels of your device maker or service provider are the right place to go. Never send passwords, verification codes or bank details by email, to us or to anyone else.

When to expect a reply

We read every message and try to answer within a few working days. During hectic stretches it may take a bit longer. Corrections jump to the front of the queue, because a wrong step helps nobody.
