House Rules for Readers

These terms cover your use of newsdump.net. They are short on purpose. By reading the blog you accept them; if something here does not sit right with you, the simplest option is not to use the site.

General information, not personal support

Our articles explain how common devices, apps, online services and hobbies usually work. They are written for a broad audience and cannot account for every phone model, software version, account type or personal situation. Treat them as a helpful starting point, not as technical, legal, financial or professional advice tailored to you.

Some steps involve deleting files, changing settings or removing data. Before you follow them, make sure anything important is backed up, and read each step to the end before tapping. You stay responsible for the changes you make on your own devices and accounts.

Things change quickly

App makers rename menus, move buttons and retire features with little warning. We revisit articles from time to time, yet a guide may describe an older layout by the time you read it. When something does not match, check the official help pages for your device or service.

Our content and how you may use it

The text, layout and graphics on Newsdump belong to the team behind it or are used with permission. You are welcome to:

  • read, print or bookmark any post for private, non-commercial use;
  • share links to any page;
  • quote a short passage, provided you credit Newsdump and link back to the original article.

Please do not copy whole articles to another website, feed them into a product you sell, or present our writing as your own without written permission. Requests go to office@newsdump.net.

Links to other sites

Some posts point to external websites. We do not control those sites and cannot vouch for their content, availability, offers or privacy practices. Visiting them is your decision, and their own terms apply once you are there.

Accuracy and corrections

We work carefully, but mistakes happen. If you find an error, an outdated step or a broken link, let us know through the Contact page. We review every report and update the article where needed.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss or damage arising from the use of the blog or reliance on its content, including lost data, device problems or decisions made on the basis of an article. Liability that the law does not allow anyone to exclude stays untouched by this paragraph.

Privacy

How we treat data is explained on How We Handle Data, and the single item stored in your browser is described on Browser Data, Explained.

Changes

We may update these terms when the blog changes. Whatever appears here today is the version in force.
